LakePoints has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Every user submission is human-reviewed before publication, and published content remains subject to reports and enforcement.

Enforcement categories

Photos and videos

Upload only media you created or have permission to share. Avoid identifiable minors unless a parent or guardian authorized the submission. New POI photographs must contain valid location metadata for verification; processed public copies may have embedded metadata removed.

Objective review and outcomes

A report is an allegation, not proof. Administrators review the reported material and context against these categories. Outcomes are: No Violation; remove the offending content; remove all content from the reported user; or ban/eject the user globally. LakePoints targets review within 24 hours and records the reviewer, action, time, and notes.

Personal blocking

Reporting immediately blocks the reported user only for the reporter. Their past and future comments, photos, contributions, identity/presence, waves, and other authored material disappear from that reporter’s view; a POI they control appears as UNKNOWN. Everyone else continues to see the user normally unless an administrator takes global action. The personal block persists even if the report is closed as No Violation.

Reporting and support

Use the in-app “Report and block” controls. For follow-up, privacy, legal, or access issues, use the published LakePoints Support form.
